Understanding each patient's goals, values, and motivations is essential in working toward a shared vision for recovery. I incorporate psychoeducation into every treatment plan to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care. I also recognize the important role spirituality can play in healing. While I never impose it, I am glad to integrate spiritual considerations for patients who find it meaningful.
