About Abby Osuna, RGC
My name is Abby, and my journey into counseling started with a deep curiosity about people's stories. The parts they show the world and the parts they quietly carry on their own. Over the years, I found myself drawn to spaces where people could feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. That eventually led me to pursue psychology, counseling, and mental health work. Since then, I've worked with students, young adults, and individuals navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, self-doubt, and emotional struggles.
What keeps me grounded in this work is witnessing how people slowly reconnect with themselves, even after difficult seasons. I genuinely believe healing does not always happen in big dramatic moments; sometimes it starts with finally feeling safe enough to be honest.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy writing, reflecting, spending quiet time alone, and finding meaning in ordinary moments. These continue to shape how I connect with people both inside and outside the therapy room.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy should feel like a safe conversation rather than a space where you feel analyzed or pressured to have everything figured out. Opening up can be difficult, especially when you've spent a long time carrying things on your own, so my priority is to create an environment where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. I approach therapy with warmth, patience, and authenticity, while helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences at a pace that feels manageable for them.
I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to healing because every person comes with a different story, different wounds, and different strengths. Instead of focusing on "fixing" people, I focus on helping them feel more connected to themselves, more empowered in their choices, and more compassionate toward the parts of themselves they may have struggled to accept. Above all, I want clients to know that they do not have to go through things alone.
