    John was warm and clearly made an effort to understand our dynamic. We appreciated his patience and the safe space he tried to create. A few things worth flagging for future sessions: Environment: The background noise was distracting. A quiet, private setting would make a real difference. Communication style: John has a thorough approach, but tends to repeat points a few times. This cost us time and momentum. A more concise, direct style would serve the sessions better. Facilitation: Both partners in our session also fell into repetition at times — we’d welcome a therapist who actively helps break those loops and keeps the conversation moving forward. We’d also appreciate a more direct approach when one partner is clearly not hearing the other, rather than staying in neutral territory. Overall a decent first session and we’re open to continuing, ideally with the above in mind.
