About Chelsa Barredo, RPsy
Hi, I'm Chelsa, and I pursued psychology because I've always been deeply curious about understanding people—their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and I love that this knowledge can be applied in everyday life and across different situations.
What motivates me most in therapy is helping clients feel a sense of relief and supporting them as they develop healthier coping strategies and create meaningful change.
Outside of my work, I enjoy painting, cooking, practicing mindfulness exercises, and traveling to the beach, which all help me stay grounded and present.
For those considering working with me, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself, and I prioritize progress over perfection in your journey toward growth and healing.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is centered on meeting you where you are, at your own pace. I believe that growth doesn't need to be rushed or forced, and that real change happens when you feel safe, heard, and ready. In our sessions, I won't impose my own expectations or definitions of what your journey "should" look like—instead, I work with you to understand what things mean from your perspective and what truly matters to you.
I aim to create a space that feels non-judgmental and respectful, where you can openly share your thoughts and experiences without fear of being criticized or misunderstood. I'm mindful of my own biases and continuously work to set them aside, so I can genuinely listen and understand you as you are. Rather than directing or telling you what to do, I take on a more guiding and reflective role—helping you make sense of your experiences, recognize patterns, and explore choices that feel right for you.
Whether you're new to therapy, feeling unsure because of past experiences, or simply looking for a different kind of support, my goal is to walk alongside you in a way that feels steady, collaborative, and empowering.
