About Gail Valerio, RPsy
Hi! I'm Gail.
My journey into psychology began with my own healing journey. Experiencing the power of being seen, heard, and understood inspired me to create that same safe space for others. Since then, I've been deeply drawn to people's stories and the experiences that shape who they are.
Life's internal battles can feel overwhelming. My goal is to provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I believe healing begins with self-compassion and accepting every part of your story.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and daughter, reading, traveling, playing the guitar and piano, and playing tennis. My personal mantra is: Make your mind a beautiful place to be.
If you're considering therapy, I hope this can be a space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore your experiences with compassion, and discover the strength and resilience that have always been within you.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is collaborative and strength-based. I believe therapy isn't about fixing people; it's about creating a safe space where you can better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and find meaning even in life's challenges.
In this space, you can simply be yourself as you explore the emotions, experiences, and challenges that may have been weighing on you. With empathy and compassion, we'll make sense of your experiences together, uncover your inner strengths, and identify meaningful steps that align with your goals and values.
There is no pressure to have everything figured out, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, free from judgment. The fact that you're here, considering therapy and choosing to care for yourself, is already a courageous first step.
