    About Lani Tiglao, RPsy

Hello! I'm Lani Tiglao, a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. My journey into psychology was inspired by a deep curiosity about human behavior and a genuine desire to support people through difficult experiences. Over the years, I have witnessed the resilience people possess, even during their most challenging moments, and this continues to motivate me in my work. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. As a therapist, I strive to create a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship. I recognize that each person's story is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet the individual needs, strengths, and goals of every client. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I aim to help you develop greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and a more meaningful connection with yourself and others. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my family, learning about new developments in mental health, and engaging in activities that promote balance and well-being. These experiences help me stay grounded and continuously grow both personally and professionally. My aspiration is to make mental health support more accessible and to empower individuals to live lives that align with their values and aspirations. Seeking help can be a courageous step, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients in their journey toward healing, growth, and resilience.

    My Approach to Therapy

I believe that therapy is not about "fixing" people. Rather, it is about creating a safe and supportive space where you can better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and discover the strengths you already possess. Starting therapy can feel intimidating. You may be unsure of what to expect, worried about being judged, or even hesitant because of previous experiences where you did not feel heard or understood. My goal is to create an environment where you can show up as you are—without pressure to have the right words, the perfect explanation, or all the answers. I view therapy as a collaborative process. While I bring professional knowledge and guidance, you are the expert on your own experiences. Together, we can explore the patterns, emotions, and life experiences that may be influencing your current struggles. I strive to listen with curiosity, empathy, and respect, while helping you gain insights and practical tools that support meaningful change. I also believe that healing and growth happen at different paces for different people. There is no "right" timeline for overcoming difficulties. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you toward goals that feel important and realistic for you. In our sessions, I value authenticity, trust, and compassion. I aim to provide a space where difficult conversations can happen safely, where emotions can be explored openly, and where both challenges and strengths are recognized. While therapy may sometimes involve discussing painful experiences, it can also be a place to rediscover hope, resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself. Above all, I want my clients to feel that they do not have to face life's challenges alone. Seeking support is a courageous step, and I am honored to be part of that journey.
