About Dr. Mariani Peralta
Hi, I'm Dr. Mariani. Since high school, I've been curious about how the mind works and why people feel and behave the way they do. That curiosity grew into a deep desire to know people better and offer them a safe space to tell their stories.
What motivates me most is my patients' stories. Each one is unique, and being part of someone's journey toward overcoming what they're going through is something I find deeply meaningful. Outside of work, you'll find me listening to music, getting lost in a novel, or singing when no one's around.
Looking ahead, I hope to help reduce the stigma around mental health and contribute to improving mental health programs in my hometown. If you're considering working with me, my hope is simple: that I can be your safe space.
My Approach to Psychiatric Care
If you're coming in for your first session, it's completely okay to feel nervous. A lot of people feel that way because they're not quite sure what to expect. There's no right or wrong way to go about it, and you don't have to tell me everything all at once. We can simply start wherever you feel comfortable and go from there. It's okay if your thoughts feel all over the place, if you become emotional, or if there are things you're not ready to talk about yet. We can take things one step at a time.
