About Yedda Ortiz, RPsy
My name is Yedda. What inspired me to become a psychologist was seeing how many people struggle to reach out for help. I noticed how difficult it can be for individuals to express their pain and ask for support, and this deeply moved me to become someone who can listen with understanding and compassion.
My greatest motivation in providing therapy is helping people find hope again and feel like themselves once more. It means so much to me to see someone slowly heal, grow stronger, and begin to smile again. Being trusted with someone's story is very important to me, and it reminds me every day why I chose this path. I want every person I work with to feel heard, valued, and accepted.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and traveling. I also love coffee and enjoy visiting different coffee shops. These simple activities help me relax, reflect, and stay balanced. They also allow me to see different perspectives and understand people more deeply, which helps me in my work.
My goal is to continue growing as a person and as a psychologist. I want to keep learning so I can support people in the best way possible. I aim to create a space where individuals feel safe to open up, even about the things that are difficult to share. I hope to help people face their challenges, build inner strength, and find their sense of purpose again.
For those considering me for counseling, I want you to know that I will meet you with kindness, patience, and respect. I understand that asking for help can be difficult, and I truly admire the courage it takes. Your story matters, and you deserve to be heard. I will walk with you at your own pace and support you in a way that feels safe and comfortable. I believe that healing is possible, and you do not have to go through it alone.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is simple at its heart. I believe that every person has a story that deserves to be heard with care, patience, and respect. When someone comes to me, I do not see them as a problem to be fixed, but as a person who is doing their best while carrying things that may feel heavy or overwhelming.
I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially if it is your first time or if you have had a difficult experience in the past. Because of this, I focus first on creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel at ease. There is no pressure to share everything all at once. We will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I approach each person differently because I believe that everyone's needs, experiences, and healing journeys are unique. I take the time to listen and understand what you are going through, and together we will explore what kind of support feels most helpful for you. Some people need a space to talk and release their emotions, while others may want guidance, tools, or a different perspective. I adjust my approach depending on what you need most in that moment.
At the center of my work is empathy and genuine connection. I will meet you with kindness, without judgment, and with respect for your experiences. You do not have to hide any part of yourself. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood.
I also believe that therapy is a shared journey. I will walk alongside you, supporting you as you better understand yourself, your emotions, and your challenges. Together, we will find ways to help you cope, grow, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Most importantly, I want you to know that you do not have to go through things alone. Reaching out is already a brave step, and I am here to support you in finding your strength, your voice, and your hope at your own pace.
